Paintoria AI Privacy Policy
I ("I", "me", or "my") have developed and operate the Paintoria AI application ("Paintoria AI" or the "App") as a free software application. I am an individual developer and provide this Service in my personal capacity; I am not a company, corporation, or other legal entity. The App is designed for and supported only on iPhone devices and is not intended for iPad, other tablets, or non‑iPhone devices. This Service is provided to you by me at no monetary cost and is offered strictly in accordance with the terms set out in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains, in a clear and transparent manner, how I collect, use, store, disclose and otherwise process your personal information when you access or use my Service. It is important that you review this document carefully so that you fully understand how and why your data is processed.
By downloading, installing, accessing or using my Service, you acknowledge, represent, and warrant that you have reviewed, understood and agreed to be bound by this Privacy Policy. You also agree that I may collect and use your information as described herein for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. I will not use or disclose your personal information to any third party except as explicitly described in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law.
Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this document have the same meaning as in my Terms and Conditions, which are available within Paintoria AI.
Face Data Policy
Summary
- What data is sent: Photos you select (and any facial/body imagery therein).
- Who it is sent to: My servers and, when I use them, my designated third-party AI or cloud processing providers.
- When I send it: Only after you have given consent in the app (e.g. by confirming before submitting).
- How long and where: Temporarily on my and my providers’ secure infrastructure; deleted after the effect is generated. See “How long will the data be stored?” and “Where will this information be stored?” below for details.
Your consent
Before you submit a photo for AI processing, I will ask for your explicit consent in the app. By tapping "Agree" or "Continue", you confirm that you have read this policy and agree to the collection and processing of your image as described here. You may decline; in that case, the AI effect feature will not be available for that submission.
What face data does the app collect, and how is it used?
What I collect: The photo(s) you select in the app (which may contain facial and body imagery). I process them to detect and analyze facial feature points (e.g. eyes, nose, mouth) solely to provide face-related effects. I do not build or maintain a facial recognition database, nor store facial templates for identification or authentication.
How I collect it: You choose and upload the image through the in-app flow; the app sends it to my servers for processing.
Purpose and uses: Solely to generate the effect you requested (e.g. "Similar Faces", hair style). I do not use this data for identification, profiling, or marketing. Once processing is complete, the data is deleted and not retained.
Who processes your data?
To provide face-related effects, the images you upload are sent to my servers. My servers may use third-party AI processing services (e.g. cloud AI infrastructure) to analyze facial features and generate effects. These processors act on my instructions and are contractually required to protect your data to the same standards I apply. I do not sell or share your facial images with any other third parties for their own purposes.
How does the processing work?
You upload images to my servers through the app; my servers (and, when I use them, third-party AI or cloud processing services) analyze the images and generate the results; the app combines those results with materials or effects to produce the final output. Images and related data are temporarily stored in encrypted infrastructure (such as Amazon Web Services) and are deleted automatically after the compositing process is complete.
Will the data be shared with any third parties?
Facial images and related processing data are not shared with any third party for that party’s own purposes. They are used only to provide the effect you requested and are deleted immediately after processing.
How long will the data be stored?
Data is stored only temporarily and is deleted promptly after use (e.g. immediately after a new image is returned to you).
Where will this information be stored?
Images and related information are temporarily stored in my secure, encrypted infrastructure (such as AWS), subject to strict access control. When I use third-party AI or cloud processing providers, your data may also be processed or temporarily held on their secure infrastructure under my instructions; in all cases it is deleted immediately after processing.
The Service itself does not intentionally deploy or manage first‑party "cookies". However, the App may include or rely on third‑party code, software development kits (SDKs), or libraries that use cookies or similar tracking technologies in order to collect information and enhance their services. Such technologies may, for example, assist in measuring usage, preventing fraud, or improving service reliability.
You may choose to configure your device or browser to accept or reject cookies, or to notify you when a cookie is being sent. Please be advised that if you disable or refuse cookies, certain features or portions of the Service may not function properly or may become unavailable.
Service Providers
I may engage carefully selected third‑party companies and individuals to perform functions on my behalf in connection with the provision and operation of the Service. These third‑party service providers may be engaged for, including but not limited to, the following purposes:
- To facilitate the provision and maintenance of the Service;
- To provide the Service on my behalf (for example, hosting, storage or infrastructure services);
- To perform services related to the core functionality of the App; or
- To assist me in monitoring, analyzing and improving how the Service is utilized.
Where such third parties have access to your personal information, they are permitted to use it solely for the purpose of performing the tasks assigned to them on my behalf and are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information and to refrain from using it for any other purpose.
Cookies
Cookies are small data files that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. They are transmitted to your browser by websites you visit and may be stored on your device’s internal memory or other storage.
Security
I recognize the importance of the personal information entrusted to me and I am committed to protecting it. I implement commercially reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to safeguard your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
However, you should be advised that no method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure or error‑free. While I strive to use all reasonable means to protect your personal information, I cannot and do not guarantee its absolute security. You use the Service and provide information to me at your own risk.
Log Data
When you use the Service, in the event that an error occurs within the App, we may collect data and information from your device (via third‑party products) referred to as “Log Data”. Log Data may include, but is not limited to, details such as your device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App at the time of the error, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other technical statistics relevant to diagnosing and resolving issues.
This Log Data is collected and processed solely for the purposes of monitoring the performance of the Service, identifying and correcting technical problems, maintaining security, and improving the overall quality and stability of the App.

The Service may contain links to websites or services that are operated by third parties and are not under my control. If you click on a third‑party link, you will be directed to that third‑party site or service. I strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of any third‑party websites or services that you visit.
I do not endorse, and disclaim all responsibility and liability for, the content, privacy practices, data‑processing activities or security measures of any third‑party sites or services. Your interactions with such third parties are solely between you and the relevant third party.
Children's Privacy
My Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If I become aware that I have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, I will take prompt steps to delete such information from my records.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and you believe that your child has provided personal information to me in connection with the Service, please contact me using the details provided in the "Contact Me" section so that I can investigate and take appropriate action.
